Filmmaking site, Genero, has launched a competition that we thought you might be interested in. Yes, I know, Christmas is on the doorstep, but what better use for all that gear you’re getting as presents?! The competition is to make a short 4min (max) film about your area.
Why do this?
- You could win from a pot of $20,000
- All submitted films, we will showcase at Worcestershire Film Festival both on this site and at our 2014 events
- We’re going to try and involve Worcester, Massachusetts and showcase their work too, effectively doubling your audience
- We’ll try and work with the county tourism service and get your films on their site and physical screens too
Our community of filmmakers come from all around the world. With this project we’re giving you the chance to not only show your creative filmmaking talent, but also to celebrate and showcase what makes your town, city or country unique.
As well as a payments budget of $20,000, the selected videos will be used by Genero to showcase their amazing talents to our music artist and brand clients, with each filmmaker credited wherever the videos are used (where possible).
Submission deadline: February 12, 2014
Total Payment: $20,000
