We are at last open for film submissions for 2014. It has taken a little longer than expected, for reasons I’ll go through later.
The Festival has been organised to raise the profile of film in the county and to provide film-makers a means of showing their works on a big screen with a diverse audience. We are actively seeking locally produced films that tell interesting, captivating stories over a variety of genres. We would like to screen these films not only at our main event in November, but also at our roadshows in the summer.
To submit a film, simply go to our submission page and complete a simple form. As in previous years, we would like to ask what the length, genre of your film is, as well as whether you feel it’s a family friendly film. Once the film form is completed, you just need to send us the film. This year we are only accepting digital submissions as taking discs in was time consuming and you have the hassle of posting too.
So, instead, you can send us the film using several services. We used Dropbox successfully last year, but not wanting to limit your options, you’re welcome to use Google Drive, OneDrive or WeTransfer. We figure that as a filmmaker, you’re likely to have one of these accounts already set up.
For all the details of submitting, take a look at the guidance and by all means get in touch, if you get stuck!
Submissions are open until 14th September, but if you want your film included in our roadshows, then please submit as soon as you can!
